Mumbai: Train manager averts fire mishap at Churchgate station

A potential fire accident was averted at Churchgate Station on Thursday, thanks to the alertness and swift response of Train Manager M.S. Joshi from the Churchgate Lobby.
The incident occurred when a short-circuit sparked a fire at an ice-cream stall within the station premises. Joshi, who happened to be present at the location, noticed the emergency and acted immediately. Using a fire extinguisher, he successfully doused the flames before the situation could escalate.
His quick thinking and timely intervention prevented possible damage to property and ensured the safety of passengers and station staff.
The Railway Administration has commended Joshi for his prompt action and presence of mind, describing his efforts as a commendable display of courage and responsibility.
