Maharashtra Congress MLA Nana Patole today extended heartfelt congratulations to veteran actor Ashok Saraf on the eve of his Padma Shri felicitation. Patole, along with other dignitaries, met the acclaimed actor at the New Maharashtra Sadan in the national capital, just hours before the official Padma Awards ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Ashok Saraf, a celebrated name in Marathi and Hindi cinema, has been selected for the prestigious Padma Shri award in recognition of his decades-long contribution to the film industry. A recipient of the Maharashtra Bhushan award as well, Saraf has left an indelible mark with his comic timing, memorable performances, and the warmth he brings to his characters.

Taking to social media, Patole shared a photo of the meeting and wrote: “We met veteran actor, Maharashtra Bhushan and now Padma Shri awardee Ashok Saraf at the New Maharashtra Sadan in the capital Delhi. Today, the President will be presenting him with the Padma Shri award and on the eve of this honor, we congratulated him wholeheartedly. He has made an incomparable contribution to the Marathi and Hindi cinema. The laughter, joy and emotional moments we get from his films are still fresh for us. The magic of his acting and his cheerful nature will always inspire!”
